Classrooms
TumbleweedZ is located in the Greenridge Center strip mall next door to the Mukwonago Post Office, approximately one mile east of downtown. From the outside we appear to be located in a small location, however once you tour our center you will find just the opposite. We have just over 7,000 square feet of bright multi colored walls, which cater to our customers. The design of the front half of our center is open. We have four class rooms that are separated by 4 foot half walls with 4X4 ft. windows located in the middle of the dividing walls. These windows allow our "little" clients the opportunity to easily see from room to room. They also provide a safety backup for our staff, when they are at the child's level they too can easily see across to the next room allowing an "extra" set of eyes to catch a possible problem for their fellow teacher. These half walls allow staff the opportunity to share ideas while working or to assist each other with needed supplies without leaving their class room. The back half of the center has another three rooms. This is where you will find our Nemo room (4K), the Sesame Street room (Nursery), Tinker Bell, (crib room) and the Wild room, (our larger school age room). Starting with the 3's through school age - (Fairy Tale, Castle, Nemo, and Wild rooms) there are computers to teach the children basic computer skills, and to reinforce the many things staff are teaching.
A great deal of thought surrounding safety and health went in the design of our facility. Our hall way floors are white tile with a black stripe running down the middle. The children are taught to follow this black stripe during fire drills; they are taught that this "black stripe" will always lead them to an outside exit. We all work very hard to keep our facility clean, sanitized, and smelling fresh. Depending on the age of the children in a room, and the health of the children, the classrooms are sanitized daily to every month. For example the infant room is sanitized daily, the ones and twos, weekly, while the remainder is monthly. However, if we have an outbreak of some sort, rooms are sanitized immediately, then weekly until the spread of the illness stops. We also have installed high efficient commercial air purifiers (UV light, ozone method). Working with a laboratory in Florida, we took swabs of different areas of the center to measure a before and after of various types of bacteria, molds, for a comparison prior to installing these purifiers. The outcome was as high as 90% decrease in bacteria after running these systems for just one week. We think you will find like all of our customers our center is one of the cleanest in the industry. We have installed four security cameras, a commercial fire alarm system, ,monitored by ADT 24X7, and a secured front door requiring individually assigned codes for entry. These codes are documented at the time of entry with the date, time and who has entered.
