Safety & Security
TumbleweedZ Learning Center takes safety and security very seriously. We believe that we are the fortunate ones to have been entrusted with the care of your most valuable asset, your children. It is through this belief that we have installed monitoring cameras through out the center, with a security access at the entrance of our center. The intent of this equipment is to provide you the parent with the peace of mind that your child's safety is one of our number one priorities.
At the time of enrollment, you received an access code. This code allows us to know at all times who is in the center, (both children and adults) and who is dropping the child off and who picked up. Additional identification, such as a photo driver's license, may also be requested if staff does not know or recognize the individual picking up. Before releasing the child to an un-authorized person, phone contact will be required to one of the parents, or legal guardian. If a parent or legal guardian should show up under the influences, the other parent or emergency contact will be contacted for pick up.
We also have implemented a computerized sign-in and sign-out. This system, again, tells us who is here and who is not. If your child is not going to be at the center on a scheduled day, please contact the center as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will begin a call search to try to locate your child. This system provides us with daily schedule reports. The daily schedule is critical for our teachers. This report is used for attendance, the tracking of each child, as well as emergency contact information, and billing. The schedule report goes with the children when they leave the center for field trips. The teachers constantly use this form to check and double check the children's whereabouts throughout the day. As each child is picked up he or she is checked off while others are re-counted.
Upon entering the Center, check your child(ren) in using the computer by the front door (Parent Resource Corner). Please check for any messages or new announcements. Then take your child to their designated classroom. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
When picking your child(ren) up, please check their cubby for any notes, or important information. When leaving the center, please make sure you sign out using the computer at the front door.
