Staff & Teachers
Our teachers are your child's leaders of play in the classroom every day. It is their responsibility to provide the appropriate indoor and outdoor play environments. Safety is, of course, the primary concern; a part of this process includes choosing the appropriate activity and material according to the child's age and developmental level.
Our Staff
As facilitators of children's play, our teachers closely observe your child during play periods not only for assessment purposes, but also to assure that the child is using appropriate social interactions and motor behaviors. This calls for a great deal of attention on the part of our staff. We work hard to assure that each child receives this attention, with loving support, yet at the same time, the individual child has the freedom to choose what and where to play. It is through this careful observation that helps the teachers decide when to offer assistance and what form that assistance should take. Because play is closely tied to the cognitive, socio-emotional, and motor development one can see why it is an important part of developmentally appropriate childhood programs.
TumbleweedZ Learning Center has established six goals and objectives. These goals and objectives are used by the staff as a self-assessment to help them track their own professional development. They assist in identifying each staff's strengths and weaknesses.
- To build responsive relationships
- To plan and manage a developmentally appropriate program
- To promote children's development and learning
- To continue learning about children , families, and the field of early childhood education
- To maintain professional standards
- To be an advocate in support of children and families
Each of us would like to thank you for putting your trust in our TumbleweedZ Learning Center family and be assured that your child will receive the quality care and loving individual attention from quality teachers, which every child needs and deserves.
TumbleweedZ Learning Center accepts all children regardless of race, color, nationality, or religious background.
